Prior to joining EIP Gemma worked as a research fellow based at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, home of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the world’s highest energy particle accelerator. She worked towards the discovery of the Higgs boson, the last remaining undiscovered particle in the Standard Model of particle physics, which was found in July 2012.

Gemma holds a first class MPhys degree in physics from the University of Oxford. She went on to do a DPhil in particle physics, also at Oxford, using data from the LHC at CERN to search for the Higgs boson.

Recent work

  • Patent prosecution, drafting and litigation experience in areas including electronics and computer-related inventions.
