Gareth is a UK and European Patent Attorney who has experience handling a broad range of mechanical and electronic patent subject matter including telecommunications; data compression, transmission and encoding; electronics; industrial machinery and bearings; electric motors; paper printing and milling apparatus; medical devices and defence systems.
Gareth has worked with a range of both UK and overseas clients from individual inventors, through SMEs, to large multinational companies. He joined EIP after four years at a London-based firm of patent attorneys. Before joining the IP profession, Gareth spent several years working for a leading London data consultancy, and has extensive experience in data handling, manipulation and interpretation.
Gareth holds an MSci Honours degree in Physics and Astrophysics from the University of Bristol. His final year project involved using computer analysis to recognise spot patterns on African penguins, and his final year seminar was delivered on “The Anisotropy of the Cosmic Microwave Background.”
