Samiyah is a US attorney-at-law with a master’s degree in Computer Science from Tufts University School of Engineering and is a member of the EIP Legal team in the Düsseldorf office. She has extensive experience in patents and other IP matters, having worked in private practice and as in-house IP counsel for Airbus.
Samiyah has served as litigation counsel in matters involving various technologies including semiconductor devices, wireless communication and devices, and software in US federal and state courts and before the International Trade Commission. Additionally, she has significant experience representing clients related to nanotechnology, software, medical devices, telecommunications, and business methods before the USPTO, EPO, and various Asian patent offices.
Samiyah has written and lectured on matters relating to standard setting, patent litigation, and software engineering for the Practising Law Institute, New England Law, and Tufts University.
