(2) puts PAs on a register which could be useful but perhaps removes the jurisdiction of IPReg to oversee this work as regulator.

Hmmm we are now getting a rift as to whether patent attorneys want to qualify under Art 48(1) or (2) - did not see that coming.

2000 PAs can litigate at IPEC; 70 with higher litigation certificate; 6 with higher advocacy certificate (of whom 4 are here tonight)

Vicki Salmon now - one possibility is that it be up to individual countries what is "lawyer".We believe that UK patent attorneys are lawyers

Expert group had handed to legal group the current stage of the draft Rules of Procedure of the #UPC - these will also affect representation

@ElisabethHWolf it was certainly odd. The proposal was all worked out for fellowship so I just needed to reproduce it in consular office.
