Tristan specialises in IP litigation as a solicitor within EIP Legal.

He joined EIP from the IP department of another city law firm, where his practice included advising on IP exploitation, licensing and international protection as well as taking the lead in disputes in the High Court and specialist IP lists. Before qualifying as a solicitor, Tristan obtained an LL.M degree in International Legal Practice from the College of Law, which included training as a Barrister.

Tristan previously studied Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London, a multi-disciplinary medical technology degree covering electronics, biomechanics, computing and pharmaceutical delivery systems.

Recent work

  • Acting for Unwired Planet International Limited in patent and FRAND litigation against Google, Samsung & Huawei (patents concerning Android, 2G, 3G and LTE technologies).
  • Acting for Good Technology Inc. as part of multinational patent litigation in the field of mobile device management.
